A graduate of The George Washington University with a MFA in Fine Arts specializing in Interior Design, I have 9 years of experience in the DC area and a total of  17 years field experience while working for a family construction and real estate company in North Carolina.  From a young age, I always knew that I wanted to design and create.  At the age of 13, I asked for a drafting table so that I could start designing homes and interiors before I even knew that an architectural scale existed.  I started drawing elevations of exteriors and creating floor plans that I thought would work well for living.   Although I loved design and I enjoyed it, I was unsure how to make a career out of it, so I worked for a financial company for 5 years before making the decision to attend design school.

In 2000, I moved to Washington, DC to start my formal education and work towards becoming a full time Interior Designer.  Over the last 9 years, I have worked for and learned a great deal from the top designers and architects in the area.  During this time, a lot of this work has been published in magazines and I also had one of my furniture designs featured on HGTV.  In 2004, I began working with Keith Fritz Fine Furniture to develop a furniture line that is now sold in showrooms across the United States.  As co-owner of the company, I managed the day-to-day operations, designed the website and catalogue, and set up a sales and distribution network with four showrooms within 2 years.   During this time in Indiana, I started to explore a love of furniture design and in 2005, one of my first designs, the Quattro Table, was selected to be featured on the HGTV show, “I Want That”.  After much thought and planning for the future of my design career I decided to return to DC in 2006 to work fulltime as an Interior Designer and an independent Furniture Designer.

With an innate sense of scale proportion, I have expanded my experience in many different styles with a major emphasis in developing a strong knowledge of custom furniture and built-ins.  From space planning to creating unique furniture or items for a space, I know what it takes to create a great space.  During this experience, I have also been able to work with many incredible clients that have made it possible to bring these wonderful environments and furniture pieces into reality.
